I have gotten sucked into the “this is best” and wasted a lot of time trying to set up my workflow in that way. Different ideologies will work for different people. Todoist is a base, with flexibility to make it whatever you need it to be. If you want to keep a list of birthdays in Todoist, why not? It’s not Evernote or nothing, Notion or nothing, Todoist or nothing. No disrespect to CP or anyone else, I have taken bits and pieces of their insight into my own workflow. They are providing content to catch people in hopes that they direct back to their lessons and buy a class or two. Their livelihood is dependent on selling a new system or methodology. One thing that I tell myself every time I see one of the productivity experts “new setup” or “new way of managing my productivity” is that this is what they do for a living.
